KIM OLMOS

 
Ms. Olmos began her ballet training in Torrance, California with Diane Lauridsen. She was a member of the South Bay Ballet where she danced leading roles in original works by Charles Maple, Jon Crisafori and Terri Lewis. She also studied with Gloria Newman, Gus Solomon and Rebecca Wright while earning her B.A. in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Ms. Olmos spent five seasons as a company member with Ballet Pacifica, where she has performed in ballets by Peter Pucci, Ann Marie De Angelo, Choo-San Goh, Lynne Taylor-Corbett and Molly Lynch and taught ballet, modern dance and choreographed for the Ballet Pacifica Conservatory.

Ms. Olmos was Ballet Mistress at South Bay Ballet from 1991 – 1995 where she ran rehearsals, set rehearsal schedules, and restaged Paquita, Pas de Quatre, A Day in the Park with Joplin, Silent Movie, La Bayadere and several original ballets by guest choreographers. Her choreographic credits include On The Third Day…,  Brother's Keeper, This Mystery I Pose, Summer Sunday, and Le Do Gra, all of which were chosen to be performed at RDA, Regional Dance America – Pacific. Summer Sunday was for the Gala performance 1995 and "Le Do Gra" for the RDA National Festival in Houston, TX.
